Connie R. Kostyk

KOSTYK - Connie R. “Gram,” 80, St. Michael, died August 6, 2021, at home surrounded by loving family. Born February 3, 1941, in St. Michael, daughter of George and Thelma G. (Costlow) Huff.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph Kostyk, who died October 22, 2019; brothers, George Jr. and Kenneth Huff; and sisters, Sally Kostan and Alice McGinty.

Survived by children, Joseph, married to Andrea (Carosi), Salix; Georgetta, wife of William Costlow, South Fork; Raymond, St. Michael; Alice, wife of Dave Sobleskie, Sidman; and Connie, wife of Brian Garman, St. Michael; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; brother, Peter, North Carolina; and sister, Emma, wife of Gene Miller, Sidman.

Gram was a terrific baker and cook. Family gatherings were always made special by her amazing efforts to prepare wonderful meals, celebrations, and time together. She was feisty and stubborn; and empathetic, gentle, and kind. She lived a full and loving life and we will miss her.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, Pastor Luke Breeze presiding.

Interment, Dunmyer Cemetery.
