Catherine A. Weyandt

March 8, 1933 - July 21, 2019

WEYANDT – Catherine A., 86, Mount Hope (South Fork), went to be with the Lord, July 21, 2019, at Cambria Care Center. Born March 8, 1933, in Johnstown, the last surviving child of James F. and Bertha (Adams) McMahon. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Gerald W. Weyandt Sr., who died November 8, 1997; sisters, Rose Grove, June Wills, and Eldia, Emma and Jane McMahon; and brothers, James and Charles. Survived by son, Gerald W. Jr., married to Connie L. (Wilkinson); and daughter, Susan, wife of Tim New, all of Mount Hope; grandchildren, Timothy (Lisa) New, Stephen (Meagan) New, William (Terri) Weyandt and Tina (Paul) Paczek; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Ryan, T.J., Jessica, Julianna, Evan and Lucas. Member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church and the former South Fork Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Past Democratic Chairperson for the Mount Hope Election Board and also ran the former Miners Community Food Pantry in Beaverdale for many years. Catherine cherished her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, the Rev. Joseph Stains presiding. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of Cambria Care and Grane Hospice for their compassion and support. As an expression of sympathy please consider memorial donations to Cambria Care Center.
