SIMALA – Carrol R., 81, South Fork, died January 10, 2020, at CSS Medical Center at Windber. Born January 4, 1939, in Croyle Township, daughter of William and Clara (Price) George. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Thomas J. Simala, who died March 17, 2008; and brothers, William D., W. Dean, and Ronald J. George.
Survived by daughter, Debra McCullough, Bernville; grandchildren, Stacey DeFrank, South Fork; and Christopher DeFrank, married to Sarah (Bassett), South Fork; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Jessica, Fiona, Miley, and Alyiah; great great-grandchildren, Aliah and Isaiah; sisters-in-law, LaVon (Baldwin) George, Portage; and Joanna Anthonson, Portage; nieces, Marian Simala and Ronna (George) Burda; and nephew, John Simala.
Carrol was a lifelong Methodist, she graduated from South Fork Croyle High School in 1956, and retired from Bestform, Windber
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
