CUMMINGS – Bessie B., 95, Mount Hope, went to be with the Lord September 22, 2020, at CCS Windber Hospice.
Born August 7, 1925, in Mount Hope, the last surviving child of S. Wendle and Elda (Gillman) Myers.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Harold E. Cummings, who died February 15, 1998; son-in-law, Paul R. Pounds; sisters, Edith Hammer, Martha Hite, Violet King, Rosamond Koehler, Ethel Dorin, Dorothy Myers, and Sannie Fiffick; and brothers, Harry, Wendle Jr., Oliver, Luther, George and Glenn.
Survived by daughter, Carol Pounds, Mount Hope; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews and their families.
Bessie attended services at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren and was a retired seamstress from Bestform. She was an avid reader and enjoyed word search puzzles. Her loving and gentle spirit will be remembered among family and friends.
Private family visitation and funeral service, the Reverend John Manges presiding.
Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
