Younkins – Barbara Ann, 84, Monroe N.C., formerly of Sidman, Pa., died May 13, 2016 at Carillon Assisted Living, Monroe, N.C.

Born April 16,1932, in South Fork, daughter of Anthony J. Sr and Florence C. (Jenkins) Mickus.

Preceded in death by parents; and beloved husband, Jack T. Younkins, who died June 9, 2007.

Survived by daughter, Toni L., wife of Alan “Sonny” Chicoli; and son Mark, married to Barbara (Moore), South Fork; and their family; granddaughter, Dana, wife of Jeffery Kuhn, Indian Trail, N.C.; grandson Damion, married to Teri (Schroll), Charlotte, N.C.; and grandson Erik, married to Jocelyn (Wos), Johnstown. Barb was a loving great-grandmother to Max and Kat Kuhn, Ethan Schiffhauer, Jack Chicoli, Bradyn, Madelyn and Brenton Younkins, and special family member Heidi Cover. Barb was also survived by beloved brother Tony “Skip” Mickus and many nieces and nephews.

Barb was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Sidman. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted Mom, Gram, and Grammie to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the greatest hugger in the whole wide world.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Viewing will also be held at Mount Olive United Methodist Church from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Thomas Moore officiating.

Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
