DEITLE – Mary Lou, 87, formerly of South Fork, went to be with her Lord September 13, 2016, at Laurelwood Care Center, Johnstown. Born August 9, 1929, in Glascow, daughter of John and Rachael (Cummings) Simmons.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Roy E. Deitle, who died January 24, 2006; daughter, Debra Stoykovich; grandson, Max Deitle; sisters, Margaret Fledernack and Dorothy Schrift; and brothers, John, William Sr., Paul and Robert Simmons.

Survived by sons, Roy Bruce, married to Ellabeth (Deniker), Helen, Montana; David Shawn, married to Linda (McFarland), Colver; and John Henry, married to Rhonda (Blackner), St. Michael; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Myers, Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Mary was a graduate of Beaverdale High School, Class of 1947; and the former Cambria-Rowe Business College. She passionately served the Lord and was a faithful and lifetime member of Parkview Alliance Church, St. Michael, where she was a past board member and treasurer. She enjoyed fishing at Glendale Lake, Sunday car rides, extra scoops of black raspberry ice cream and especially cherished time spent with her beloved family. Her kind and giving spirit will be greatly missed. Though we are deeply saddened with the loss of such a wonderful woman we take comfort knowing she is with the Lord. She instilled in us that faith in the Lord is the best foundations you can have and that letting his love fill your heart is what truly matters. Our lives have truly been blessed because of her.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Viewing also at Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene, 1006 Rowena Drive, Ebensburg, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Rob Osborn officiating.
