Kevin M. Beyer

BEYER – Kevin M., 60, Sidman, died peacefully November 12, 2017, at home. Born July 31, 1957, in Johnstown.

Preceded in death by sister, Susan L. Beyer and mother-in-law, Twila P. Brown.

Survived by loving wife of 37 years, Tammy L. (Brown) Beyer, whom he married June 28, 1980; sons, Joshua K., married to Shana (Schlosser), Rudyard, Michigan; and Travis L., married to Michelle (Wetzel), Sidman; cherished grandson, Wyatt; parents, Edward R., married to Shirley R. (Cekella) Beyer, Sidman; brother, Edward F., married to Ida (Wright) Beyer, Sidman; father-in-law, Denne Brown, Summerhill; in-laws, William D. Brown, Palm Bay, Florida; Thomas E. Brown, Sumerduck, Virginia; and Loriann, wife of Randy Hutzler, Richland; numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends and faithful Westie, Lucky.

Kevin was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Summerhill; and a graduate of Forest Hills High School, class of 1976. Assistant groundskeeper at Conemaugh Township School District. Kevin was active with 4-H and was a past recipient of the Greater Johnstown Jaycees, “Young Farmer Award.” In his youth he learned the importance of working hard and by example sought to instill those qualities in others. He defined goodness, had a charming sense of humor and was an eternal optimist. He had a gentle, loving and giving spirit and was always happy to lend a helping hand.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil will be held Tuesday afternoon.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Johns, by Father Leon Hont, OSB.
