PRINCE – Irene L., 80, South Fork, died November 21, 2017, at Windber Hospice. Born November 5, 1937, in Johnstown, daughter of Enoch and Sophie (Vroble) Gabany.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Frank J. “Bub” Prince, who died June 8, 2016; sisters, Stella Meliss and Pauline Caron; and brothers, Alec and Joseph Gabany.
Survived by children, Mary Jo Shrift, and close friend, Jim Harteis, Johnstown; Dan, Tucson, Arizona; Donna, wife of Greg Facciani, Summerhill; Joy Prince, and friend Steve Klein, South Fork; Joyce, wife of Terry Baligush, Catonsville, Maryland; and Larry, married to Patty (Arzaga), Riverside, California; grandchildren, Monika, and husband, Vance; Marc, Brooke, Brianna, Emily, Kaitlyn and Jessica; and sister, Dorothy Grigg, South Fork.
Member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork. She enjoyed polkas and watching her Pittsburgh Steelers. She was an avid bingo player, and always looked forward to camping and casino trips. Irene had a giving spirit and devoted herself to her children and grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, November 24, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, by Fr. Joseph C. Nale. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the church hall immediately after the service.
Following cremation a private committal service will be held at St. James Cemetery.
