SCHRIFT – Dennis R., 64, New Germany, died March 6, 2018, at home, surrounded by loving family. Born August 3, 1953, in Summerhill, son of Richard and Betty (Motchenbaugh) Schrift.

Preceded in death by parents; brother, Gary and infant brother, Rodney.

Survived by wife, Caroline (Gabany) Schrift; and son Daniel, engaged to Jamie (Miller), Summerhill. Brother of Jane, wife of George Freidhof, Portage; Russell, married to Mary Lou (Bodenschatz), New Germany; Peggy, wife of Randy Smay, Summerhill; and Bonnie, wife of Paul Gressick, Portage. Also survived by sister-in-law, Judy Schrift, New Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, class of 1971. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany; and was a retired steelworker.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil will be held Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Father Leon Hont, OSB, celebrant.
