Delbert J. Beck

BECK – Delbert J., 66, Windber, died August 23, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born February 25, 1950, in Johnstown, son of Jennie (Hutzell) Beck.
Preceded in death by mother and grandmother, Amanda Hutzell.
Survived by loving wife, of 29 years, Phyllis R. (Shaffer) Beck, whom he married November 1, 1986; children, Michael Beck, Windber; Jeannine, wife of Craig Horner, Salix; Stephanie, wife of Todd Barkley, Johnstown; and Matthew Beck, Knoxville, Tenn.; step-son, Michael Shaffer, Windber; grandchildren, Darrion, Breann, Josh, Todd, Tanner and Allison; and brothers, Edward, married to Susan Moore, Gassville, Arkansas; and Robert, married to Sue (Clark), Johnstown.
Delbert was a Marine Corp Veteran who served his country for over a year in Vietnam and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 stars. He was a Shift Foreman with Specialty Tires of America for 25 years.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday by Chaplain Stephanie Betsa. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Germany. Military Graveside service by Conemaugh Valley Detachment #287 Marine Corps League Ritual Team.
