Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc.- History

Charles O. Dimond Sr. Charles O. (Charlie) Dimond Sr. (left) started the Dimond Funeral Home in 1900 in South Fork, PA. Two sons, Donald C. and C.O. Jr., worked with their father. Donald C. went on to operate a funeral home in Windber and C.O. remained in South Fork. Upon the death of Charlie in 1944, the funeral home continued under C.O. and became a corporation shortly before his death in 1981. Charles O. Dimond III became associated with the firm in 1972 and along with his brother Jeffrey, operated the firm after the death of C.O. Charles and his wife Susan took over ownership in 1986.
